Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Pearl Fabrics AI (“Pearl Fabrics AI”, “we”, “us”) provides this AI commerce service. We build software that businesses use to sell on WhatsApp, over the phone, and via a website AI chat widget - catalogues, messaging, AI sales conversations, and orders.

This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we store it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@impellabs.tech.

2. Data we collect

Account data. Email, name, hashed password, the company you sign up under, and the plan you’re on.

Customer & lead data. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and custom fields you upload or that AI agents collect during WhatsApp conversations. This is your operational data; we hold it on your behalf.

Commerce data. Products, prices, images, carts, orders, and related metadata used to run your catalogue and fulfil purchases.

WhatsApp message data. Inbound and outbound messages, media, templates, and delivery status needed to operate messaging and the AI agent.

Usage data. Pages visited, dashboard actions, API requests, and IP addresses - for operations and abuse prevention.

3. Google user data (Sheets integration)

When you connect the optional Google Sheets integration, we ask Google for consent to access your account on a strictly limited basis.

Scopes we request

• auth/spreadsheets - read and write the spreadsheets you explicitly select inside Pearl Fabrics AI.
• auth/drive.readonly - list spreadsheet files so the picker can show them.
• openid, email - show which Google account is connected.

What we do with Google user data

• List your spreadsheets so you can pick one in the in-app picker.
• Read row 1 of the spreadsheet you pick to surface column headers for mapping.
• Append or update rows in the spreadsheet you pick with data you choose to sync.
• Store an OAuth refresh token encrypted at rest so the integration keeps working.

What we will not do

• Read any file other than the spreadsheet you select in Pearl Fabrics AI.
• Share, transfer, or sell Google user data to any third party.
• Use Google user data to serve advertisements.
• Use Google user data for any purpose other than the Sheets sync feature you configured.

Pearl Fabrics AI’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting

Disconnect at /integrations/google-sheets. We delete OAuth tokens and stop reads/writes. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.

4. How we use your data

• Operate the service: WhatsApp messaging, catalogue, carts, orders, workflows, and dashboards.
• Improve the product with aggregate, anonymised analytics. We never train AI models on your message or product data without explicit opt-in.
• Bill you correctly and detect abuse.
• Comply with applicable law.

5. Sharing

We share data with processors strictly to operate the service:

• Cloud hosting (AWS / GCP) - application and media storage.
• Google (Gemini APIs) - AI inference for agent turns and media understanding.
• Meta WhatsApp Cloud API - delivery of messages you send through the Service.
• Razorpay - payment processing for paid plans (and optional in-chat payment links).

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

6. Storage & security

• Data is stored on encrypted volumes in cloud regions in India and Singapore.
• OAuth tokens, API keys, WhatsApp credentials, and passwords are encrypted at rest.
• All traffic to and from Pearl Fabrics AI is over TLS 1.2 or higher.
• Access to production data is restricted and audited.

7. Retention

• Account, lead, product, and order data: kept while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of closure.
• WhatsApp message history: kept for the duration of the account.
• Google user data: kept only while the integration is connected; deleted on disconnect.
• Operational logs: 30 days.

8. Your rights

Request a copy, correction, or deletion by emailing hello@impellabs.tech. We respond within 30 days. Statutory rights (e.g. GDPR, India DPDP Act) apply where relevant.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in India, Singapore, or regions where our processors operate. By using Pearl Fabrics AI, you consent to this transfer.

10. Children

Pearl Fabrics AI is a business product not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes

Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version.
